UP VDO Syllabus
- General Hindi: In the said part, questions related to knowledge, understanding and writing ability of Hindi language will be asked from the candidates. This part will be of the level of High School Examination or equivalent examination of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
- Figures of speech, rasa, compound, synonyms, antonyms, similar and identical, conjunctions, word formation for phrases, proverbs and idioms, sentence modification – ambiguous words related to gender, word, factor, spelling, error.
- General Intelligence Test: Its purpose is to test the candidate’s understanding of a new situation, his ability to analyze and identify its various elements. The questions in this test will be based on understanding and tracing directions, relationships, analogies, consistent, conclusions and actions etc.
- Topics: Analogy, Similarities and Differences, Space Visualization, Arithmetical Reasoning and Figurative Classification, Arithmetic Number Series, Non-Verbal Series, Coding and Decoding, Figural Series, Classification, Statement and Conclusion, Venn Diagram etc.
- General Awareness: This part of the question paper is to assess the ability of the candidates regarding general knowledge about their surroundings and its use in the society. In this test such a question shall be put as to examine current events and facts of everyday science and experience which may include historical and geographical facts. (especially relating to India) and judged him for the knowledge of scientific aspects which may be expected of any educated person.
