The Gingerbread Man Story

A long time ago, an old couple lived in a hut. One day, the old woman decided to bake some gingerbread and shaped one gingerbread like a man and decorated it with chocolate buttons for eyes, icing for smiles and small colorful sweets for buttons.

Then she put the gingerbread in the oven to bake. When she came to check the gingerbread and opened the door, she was shocked. Gingerbread yelled, “Don’t eat me!” And out of the oven. He ran across the room and out the open door.

The old lady called her husband, who was working in the garden. After seeing the gingerbread man running away, he joins his wife in pursuit. The couple ran as fast as they could after the gingerbread man, but he overtook them and yelled, “Run, run as fast as you can.” You can’t catch me; I’m the gingerbread man! They found some rest on the river bank and started the chase again.

The gingerbread man went ahead and met a chicken. The hen was eating when she saw the gingerbread man passing by. She called him and asked, “Where are you going, gingerbread man?” you look delicious!”

At this, the gingerbread man laughed and shouted, “I’ve outrun a couple, and I can outrun you too.”

“You think? We’ll see about that.” The hen replied, leaving her food and running after him. “Run, run as fast as you can,” the gingerbread man yelled. You can’t catch me; I’m the gingerbread man! The hen joined the old couple and ran after them.

The gingerbread man continued on and met a cat. When the cat saw the gingerbread man passing by, she meowed quietly. She called him and asked, “Where are you going, gingerbread man?” you look delicious! Can I bite?”

At this, the gingerbread man laughed and shouted, “I’ve outwitted a couple and a chicken, and I can outwit you too.”

“You think? We’ll see about that.” The cat replied and ran after him. “Run, run as fast as you can,” the gingerbread man yelled. You can’t catch me; I’m the gingerbread man! The cat joins the old couple and the rooster in chasing the gingerbread man.

The gingerbread man went ahead and arrived on horseback. The horse was lazing around in the field when he saw the Gingerbread Man passing by. She called him and asked, “Where are you going, gingerbread man?” you look delicious! I might like you with my tea.”

At this, the gingerbread man laughed and shouted, “I’ve outwitted a couple, a chicken, and a cat, and I can outwit you, too.”

Always up for a challenge, the horse replied, “You think? We’ll see about that.” and ran after him. The gingerbread man shouted, “Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me; I’m the gingerbread man!” Joined with the cat.

The gingerbread man continued on and met two diggers. Diggers were digging a well when they saw the gingerbread man walking by. They called him and asked, “Where are you going, gingerbread man?” Would you like to join us?”

At this, the gingerbread man laughed and shouted, “I’ve outwitted a couple, a chicken, a cat, and a horse, and I can outwit you too.”

“You think? We’ll see about that.” The diggers said and ran after him. “Run, run as fast as you can,” the gingerbread man yelled. You can’t catch me; I’m the gingerbread man! The old couple of diggers, along with the chicken, the cat and the horse, set off in pursuit.

The gingerbread man went on and stopped near a wide river. There was a mango tree on the bank of the river under which a fox was lying quietly.

The fox saw the gingerbread man by the river and asked, “Gingerbread man, where are you?” The gingerbread man turned and saw a fox standing behind him.

“You need a ride?” asked the fox.

“I know you want to eat me.” The gingerbread man replied.

At this the fox laughed and said, “You are very young.” I am very hungry. If I eat you now you will not satisfy my hunger. You’re not even breakfast.” “Look, I am crossing the river. If you want to go to the other side let me know. I will help you!”

The gingerbread man started thinking a lot.

“Look, I don’t have all day. I have many things to do. So, if you want to come, let me know right now. said the sly fox.

The gingerbread man didn’t have much time either. The old couple, the hen, the horse, the cat, and the diggers were all after him, and he had to run away.

The gingerbread man climbed onto the fox’s back. After a while, the fox started complaining that his back was hurting. “Would you like to move a little and sit on my nose? “My back hurts,” he asked.

“Yeah sure!” The gingerbread man said and sat on the fox’s nose. As soon as they reached the riverbank, the clever fox threw the gingerbread man into the air, caught him with his mouth and ate him in one go.

And that was the end of the Gingerbread Man.
