  1. Eagle flight

Once upon a time, an eagle’s egg came in between the hen’s eggs. After a few days, chicks came out of those eggs, one of them was also a baby eagle. He started growing up among them.

He did what the rest of the chickens did, playing around in the mud all day long, jumping and eating like that. Like the rest of the chickens, he could also fly a little higher, and used to come down after flapping his wings.

Then one day he saw an eagle flying in the open sky, that eagle was flying fearlessly. Then he asked the rest of the chicks, “Who is that majestic bird that flies high?” You can fly because you are a chicken!

The child of the eagle accepted this fact and never tried to be like that. He lived like a chicken all his life, and died one day without knowing his true power.

Friends, many of us live a double standard life like that eagle, without realizing our true potential, the mediocrity around us also makes us mediocre. We forget that we are beyond our possibilities. 2. A POOR LITTLE GIRL

Once, a rich woman, who had no children of her own, decided to adopt a girl child. For this, he gave advertisements in various newspapers. Many poor women used to come to sell their daughters to him.

The moneylender woman gave some money to all the girls and asked them to go to the market and buy things of their choice.

On their return, all the girls showed the rich lady what they had bought. Most of them bought ribbons, clothes and other things for themselves but one poor girl bought a prayer book and a needle.

The lady got impressed with the poor girl and adopted her saying that the girl really knew the essence of worship and hard work.

3. Letter To Garcia

“Author Elbert Hubbard tells the story of “Letter to Garcia” during the Spanish–American War.”

It was imperative that the President get a message to the leader of the rebels. His name was Garcia and he was known to be fighting somewhere in the Cuban mountains, but no mail or telegraph could reach him. Somebody said, “There’s a guy here named Rowan who’ll find Garcia for you if he can.” Rowan took the letter without hesitation.

He sealed it in a leather bag tied over his heart. He landed off the coast of Cuba in the dark of night and made his way over the mountains, finding Garcia after much difficulty. He gave her the letter, turned and went home.

Hubbard told his story in the book. Rowan didn’t ask, “Where exactly is he?” or “I doubt if I can do it.” One thing had to be done and he did it.

Instead of making a dozen excuses for why you can’t get the job done, think about Rowan. deliver the goods!

4. Forgiveness

I miss my father and think about him every day, it is something that will never end. Growing up, my father was always with us. He was a hard working man and did whatever he could to support his family financially.

As we grew up my mom and dad started drifting apart and drifting apart. I was about 18 at that time. I think I was about 21 when my father moved to Mexico because his mother had passed away.

He left and didn’t come back until June this year. Whole 8 years had passed that there was not even a word from him or he could not see her. A lot has happened in my life, I got married and have 2 kids. he was not there. I forgave him with all my heart.

On his return, I soon learned that he had stomach cancer and had only 1 month to live. I didn’t want to waste my time on negative emotions. Every day that I spent I told her that I loved her and just to be able to hug and kiss her one last time is all I could ever ask for. I forgive you father.

5. Making Relations Special

When I was a kid, my mom loved to make breakfast food for dinner sometimes. And I remember one night in particular when she cooked dinner after a long day’s work.

That evening long ago, my mother placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and over-burnt biscuits in front of my father. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Still dad reaches for his biscuits, smiles at my mom and asks me how my day at school was.

I don’t remember what I said to her that night, but I do remember watching her spread butter and jelly on the biscuits and gobble them up!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remembered my mother apologizing to my father for burning the biscuits. And I’ll never forget what he said: “Honey, I love burnt biscuits.”

Later that night, I went to kiss daddy goodnight and asked him if he liked his burnt biscuits. He wrapped me in his arms and said, “Your mom worked all day today and she’s very tired. And besides – a little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!

6. ENJOY LIFE AT EVERY MOMENT

7. The circle of joy

An old story tells that one day a countryman knocked loudly at the door of a monastery. When the monk guarding the door opened it, he was presented with a magnificent bunch of grapes.

Brother, these are the best products of my vineyard. I have come to wear them as a gift.

I caught sight of him glancing at his watch and decided, since I was not preoccupied with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On examination it had healed well, so I spoke to one of the doctors, removed his stitches, and obtained the materials needed to redress his wound. While taking care of her, we started engaging in conversation.

I asked him if he had to see the doctor this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he had to go to the nursing home to have breakfast with his wife.

After this I asked about his health. She told me that she had been there for some time and was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

As we talked and I finished applying ointment to her wound, I asked if she would be concerned about it being a while.

She replied that she no longer knew who he was, and had not recognized him in five years. I was surprised, and I asked her, “And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?” She smiled and patted my hand and said, “She doesn’t know me, but I still know who she is.”

9. Why Should I feel Bad?

Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved a girl. She was not the prettiest and grandest, but to him she was everything. He dreamed about her, about spending the rest of his life with her. His friends said to him, “Why do you dream so much about her when you don’t even know whether she loves you or not? First tell her your feelings and find out whether she likes you or not.”

He felt that this was the right way. The girl knew from the beginning that this boy was in love with her. One day when he proposed, she rejected him. His friends thought that he would take to alcohol, drugs etc. and ruin his life. To their surprise, he was not sad.
