- Eagle flight
Once upon a time, an eagle’s egg came in between the hen’s eggs. After a few days, chicks came out of those eggs, one of them was also a baby eagle. He started growing up among them.
He did what the rest of the chickens did, playing around in the mud all day long, jumping and eating like that. Like the rest of the chickens, he could also fly a little higher, and used to come down after flapping his wings.
Then one day he saw an eagle flying in the open sky, that eagle was flying fearlessly. Then he asked the rest of the chicks, “Who is that majestic bird that flies high?” You can fly because you are a chicken!
The child of the eagle accepted this fact and never tried to be like that. He lived like a chicken all his life, and died one day without knowing his true power.
Friends, many of us live a double standard life like that eagle, without realizing our true potential, the mediocrity around us also makes us mediocre. We forget that we are beyond our possibilities. Brother, these are the best products of my vineyard. I have come to wear them as a gift.
Thank you! I will immediately take them to the abbot, he will be delighted with this gift.
No! I have brought them for you. Because every time I knock on the door, you open it. When I needed help because the crop was destroyed by drought, you gave me a piece of bread and a cup of wine every day.
The hermit caught the grapes and kept praising them all morning. and decided to give the gift to the abbot, who had always encouraged him with words of wisdom.

8. What love is All About
It was a busy morning, around 8:30, when an elderly gentleman, in his late 80s, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said that he was in a hurry and had an appointment at 9:00 am.
I took his vital signs, and asked him to sit down, knowing that someone would be able to see him more than an hour later.
I caught sight of him glancing at his watch and decided, since I was not preoccupied with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.
On examination it had healed well, so I spoke to one of the doctors, removed his stitches, and obtained the materials needed to redress his wound. While taking care of her, we started engaging in conversation.
I asked him if he had to see the doctor this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he had to go to the nursing home to have breakfast with his wife.
After this I asked about his health. She told me that she had been there for some time and was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
As we talked and I finished applying ointment to her wound, I asked if she would be concerned about it being a while.
She replied that she no longer knew who he was, and had not recognized him in five years. I was surprised, and I asked her, “And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?” She smiled and patted my hand and said, “She doesn’t know me, but I still know who she is.”

When they asked her how it was that she was not depressed, she replied, “‘Why should I feel bad? I lost the one who never loved me and she lost the one who really loved and He cared about her.
